PAUSE… its Holiday Season.

HOLD UP! Pause everything. IT IS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!! Who is ready?

I know I am! I don’t know about you but there is just something special about this time of year.

The time with family & friends, the food, the extra celebrations back to back, some extra days off work, the candles (just me?), the weather, the movies, the drinks, the list can go on and on.

BUT…

(Yes, I know I am always here to bring a maybe not so fun subject up :) but I promise it’s only to help you make this the best holiday season ever)

What do we probably not openly talk about enough?

What are some things that are known inside of us but tend to get masked by all the parts of this year we actually love?

Here are just a few common things I have been hearing from clients, friends and family:

  • More personal obligations and end of year deadlines at work

  • Anxiety of navigating uncomfortable family conversations

  • Routines falling to the side

  • Sleep deprivation

  • Boundaries going out the door

  • Exercise routine and nutrition takes a back seat

  • Zero or little time for yourself

  • Seem to just throw in the towel for the year and try again / start again next year

Do any of these resonate with you?

If at least one do, I want you to take a moment to pause and reflect before you enter the next 2 months.

This is a GREAT opportunity for you to gain some control in your life. A great opportunity to show self care and to practice boundaries in your life.

The key to a stable holiday season is implementing intentional boundaries.

I know boundaries are scary to implement and sometimes seem overwhelming BUT they are put into place to make sure that you are enjoying life to the fullest.

And in this case, enjoying this amazing season for everything it is about: love, joy and connection.

To start this week I want you just name an area that always gets affected the most during the holiday season for you that you usually don’t take the time to focus on. If one of the examples above resonated with you use that! Write it down and reflect.

  • How does it make. you feel?

  • What would it be like if you had some relief in this area?

Awareness around the subject is the key to beginning.

If you want to jump in the URU community this month, I am giving them practical tools and steps to create a stable holiday season by creating boundaries they can be confident about. Join Here!
